About Us

Our Team

Originally known as Living Simply, the company was founded in 2004 by Carson Tate. Laurie Martin began working for Living Simply in 2006 and eventually took over the company, renaming it Simplicity Organizers in 2010.

The original team of four has expanded to 12 talented and skilled organizers. Simplicity has organically grown to one of the largest non-franchised companies in the nation and has served almost 2,000 clients.

Meet Laurie

Laurie Martin has been organizing professionally since 2006. Her team of highly skilled organizers offers a variety of services. Simplicity’s mission is to work alongside their clients to help them focus on what matters most.

Giving back is Laurie’s passion. She recently founded Simplicity Serves, a nonprofit branch of Simplicity that offers complimentary organizing services to local nonprofits and families in crisis. This is the heart of Simplicity Organizers.

Laurie is married to David Martin and a proud mother of three. She finds joy in helping people connect and is always wanting to learn more about health and nutrition and recycling the right way.

Laurie is a Golden Circle Member of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO), a Top 40 Under 40 Award winner (March 2017), a Wipeout Waste Award winner (October 2018), a frequent guest on the Charlotte Today Show, and a member of Carolina Organizers.
